A cover will only fit as well as you measure your furniture. You need three measurements, a tape measure and a couple of minutes.
1. Length, width, height
- Length – the longest side of the furniture, from one outer edge to the other.
- Width (depth) – from front to back. For a sofa or armchair, measure to the back of the backrest.
- Height – from the ground to the highest point: the backrest, armrest or tabletop.

Measure in centimetres, at the widest points. If in doubt, round up.
2. The three most common mistakes
- Forgetting the armrests. Measure a sofa or armchair across the armrests and backrest, not just the seat.
- Leaving out the cushions. If the cushions stay on the furniture over winter, measure with them on.
- Measuring the table without the chairs. If the chairs will stand under the table, choose “Table + chairs” and measure the whole set with the chairs pushed in.

3. No need to add extra room
Enter the actual dimensions of your furniture. The calculator automatically adds +3 cm on each side to the length and width, so the cover is easy to put on and take off. We don't add extra to the height – it would only leave fabric hanging loose.
4. More complex shapes
A corner sofa or kamado table needs more measurements. For each furniture type, the calculator shows a diagram of which dimensions to enter.
Why a made-to-measure cover is worth it
- Too big – the cover flaps in the wind, and water and leaves collect in the folds.
- Too small – it doesn't cover the furniture fully.
- Exact fit – it sits snugly, stays in place and looks neat.
